Re:2nd Season Heroes - Truth and Consequences - 5 star poll - SPOILERS AHOY !
3.

Coming off last week's extremely strong episode, this one was weak in comparison. However, it did make big advances in the story and head the show towards a conclusion.

The threads about Sylar, Maya, and Alejandro remain the weakest part of the show - completely disconnected until the end of this episode. However, I have to ping the episode because the break between Alejandro and Maya was just handled clumsily, and she seemed completely unconcerned about her brother's ultimate fate. The two seemed much closer for things to turn out this way.

The next weakest is the Monica thread. Like Maya, she's disconnected from the main story. However, her sheer joy at having a power and willingness to use it to help others redeems her story.

Several things felt a bit forced - things that were obviously meant to be more dragged out, but were fast-forwarded because of the need to finish the season. this included the introduction and death of Victoria Pratt, Hiro's visit to the 70s, and the arrival of Sylar & Maya in New York.

The big positives are 1) the hints that several of the mutants are coming together again, 2) the reveal of Adam's motives (although the readers of the graphic novels already knew this), and 3) the surprising cliffhanger battle between Peter and Hiro.

Overall, I think there are too many threads to be wrapped up in a single episode next week. I think the main story - the virus and Adam Monroe's rampage - will be wrapped up, but too much will be left unsettled.

After last week already very bad episode, this one achieved the almost impossible task of reaching a new low. The plot, the characters, the dialogues, every scene shout loudly 'our writers have been on strike for a year already'. How can reasonable people rate this show higher than 2 is a mystery.

What did you smoke ? I am serious.

The Sylar/Maya plot is a waste of time since the beginning, nothing new here.

Nothing was fast-forwarded, that's exactly how it was (badly) planned, only the end of next week episode may or may not be changed because of the strike.

No way ! Incredible ! Wow ! They are coming together again, that's really great ! Once again: are you serious ?

2) the reveal of Adam's motives (although the

He is a big bad who wants to kill everybody. That's really a great plot point...

and 3) the surprising

Yes, at least it was so silly that it was funny.

Actually, you are just a troll. Every post you've made thus far has been negative, and it's just tiresome. If you don't like the show, don't watch it.

It's totally impossible to give this episode a numerical ranking. It was too wildly inconsistent.

The scenes with Peter and Adam would get 4++

The scene at the end with Hiro and Peter would also be a 4++

The scenes with Hiro and Ando would rate a 4+

The scenes in New Orleans might get around a 2.

The scenes with Maya and Sylar would get a NEGATIVE number of stars.

So I have no way of coming up with a single number. This migt be more like a school report card with different grades in different subjects. However, you rarely see a student get several A's and yet have an F in a

No you are the troll: this is not a fan club, this is a discussion group. I used to like this show on season 1, season 2 is a natural disaster and I will stop watching it after next episode. But what is really tiresome is seeing people praising this badly (written/acted/directed...) show and being overly critical of other shows that blow this one on every detail. And this is not a question of taste. Taste is when you prefer Kubrick over Orson Welles, not when you prefer Michael Bay over Orson Welles, this is just a display of plain ignorance. Not that Michael Bay's movies are not very entertaining, but they are just not on the same league.

Re:2nd Season Heroes - Truth and Consequences - 5 star poll - SPOILERS AHOY !
***

I've missed a lot of this season, but it seems to be a bit tedious this year.

Ugh. I hate when characters become stupid in order to advance the plot. - Despite all that happened with Vicky, Peter blindly trusts Adam? - The hot hispanic chick believes Sylar's stories over her brother? - Mohinder thinks nothing about The Company, which by the way decided to keep strain 189? - Peter doesn't stop to listen Hiro out?

Ugh.

And now, the TVwoP recap: Peter tells Adam about the Shanti virus, and Adam tells him about Victoria Pratt and how she's a bioengineer who manipulated the virus into a weapon. He also explains how Peter's parents were the founders of the ElderHeroes and the virus is their sin. They decide to find Victoria and make her tell them everything she knows so that they can save the world. Tobby drops off Noah's fake remains to the Bennets and leaves. Mrs. Bennet declares that they're leaving tonight. Tobby goes to his car and orders Elle to watch Claire for the next 24 hours.

Noah wakes up in a dingy hospital room with Mohinder attending to him. He tells Noah about how Claire's blood in his body. They argue about just what The Company really is. Mohinder still thinks they're all about good and helping people, while Bennet knows that they're not, especially since THEY invented the virus. Mohinder just minces off with Claire's blood so he can go save Niki.

Niki goes to visit Micah in New Orleans and tells him about the virus she has. He tells her that he's going to give her D.L.'s medal for strength, but when he goes to get it, he discovers that his backpack has been stolen by his thieving cousin who wants to make some bank on Micah's comic book collection. The cousin's located, but he got jacked for the backpack and the medal is gone. Micah wants his mother and Monica to help him get the medal back. Niki refuses, but later that night, Monica and Micah sneak out to get it.

Sylar convinces Maya that she can control her own powers without Alejandro's help. Once she proves she can do this, she runs off to tell her brother about her new trick and he tells her that Sylar murdered his own mother. Sylar cops to this, but claims it was an accident, and Maya of course totally falls for it. The trio becomes a duo faster than you can say 'fifth wheel' when Alejandro pays a visit to Sylar later that night and Sylar kills him in cold blood.

Hiro and Ando look into Kensei's past and discover that he went by the name Adam Monroe and that he knew Kaito. Hiro goes back in time to 1977 and overhears that Adam was the one who wanted to release the virus. Fortunately, Victoria kept it from him. Hiro listens as his father declares that he'll take the virus to Primatech in Odessa. Victoria says it needs to be destroyed or they risk a pandemic. Kaito refuses to do this and says the rest of the group wouldn't allow it either. This forces Victoria to quit because she won't be a party to something this stupid.

Peter and Adam visit Victoria in the present, and Peter goes to talk to her on his own. After she pulls a gun on him, he tells her all about the Shanti virus and its effect on the future. They go inside her house and she thinks he's there to kill her. He says he isn't; he's just there to find the virus. She tells him he's looking for a mutated strain. She tells him where to find it, and he goes to tell Adam. Too bad that Victoria sees this and thinks that Peter working with Adam is a bad idea. She shoots them both, and is about to shoot Adam in the head, which is the only way to really kill him, when Peter knocks her out and grabs her gun. Once they have her tied up, she tries to convince Peter of the truth, but Adam keeps insisting that he's the good guy, even though we know he totally isn't. Victoria refuses to give up the location of the virus, but Peter reads her mind and finds out where it is. Adam releases her, only to have Victoria attempt to shoot Peter again. So Adam kills her and leaves behind his gruesome 'S'-symbol calling card.

West visits Claire before she leaves, and she reveals how much the death of her father hurts her. She vows to find the Haitian Sensation so he can make her forget she ever had a father. West convinces her that forgetting isn't the answer. The Bennet family throws Noah's ashes into the waves, and she and West say goodbye. As they hug, Claire sees Elle watching her from a car in the distance and she confronts her. Claire states that she's going to tell everyone in the world what she can do and that will stop all the running.

Mohinder finds his cure for Niki's virus, and Tobby congratulates him. But it's not enough for Mohinder

What's really tiresome is assholes like you who think everyone who doesn't agree with every word you say is stupid. Truly a stupid thing to think.

If you dislike the season so much, why wait? Stop watching now!

And BTW, what you do is not discussion.

2.9 So why is it that Alejandro has no comprehension of English when Sylar tells him how he's going to kill him, yet he has no trouble reading the newspaper article regarding Sylar's mamacitacide?
