Remember about a month ago we were all speculating who could be the person at the end on the motorcycle outside Wax Trax? The one talking to George and pointing to Jade Beat with the hand and the massive scar around the arm above the wrist?

We thought it was maybe Michelle Ha Lown? The other day I was uploading a jpeg of Mirage Knight Orange Right No. 20 Jhon/Juan Weinzel/Painshel (can someone tell me what the guy is really called

Ping, hi! The drawing in NType was actually in December 98, page 28 of Jhon Weinzeil. He is shown with a massive scar around his arm above the wrist just as we saw in Vol 9 from the motorcyclist. It really is worth checking out. Wax Trax message board has a host of rare images that will be of interest for FSS to consider.

Ummm.

Ping?

I *do* know how to spell Junchoon You implicitly answered the question, which is this is a triple language loop de loop - German into Japanese and back into English re Weinzel.

'Official' Japanese spelling of Michelle Ha Lown as 'Mishalu' does not interest me much as you know as a Japanese speaker that Mishalu is the phonetic pronounciation of Michelle.

Some of Nagano's/Toys Press English imo does not deserve slavish devotion

yes, just like Devoncha and Devonshire, or Dr. 'Clome' Ballanche, when it is obvious....

but not this one I think, since Ssizz's name is actually in Japanese kanji, he did not borrow the name from a foreign language and he specifically spell her name out in the manga, (because Muse's Coballkan native language is English, just like Colus is French, the super empire is Chinese, etc. the common language in FSS is Japanese, for the benefit of the Japanese readers of course.) me think Nogano know exactly how to spell it, and simply want to make it weird and unique.

a side note, just about all Japanese manga's English is...bad, very bad, remember Deunan 'Nut' from Appleseed?

like I say, not that they don't make mistakes, when it is obvious where Nogano take the name from...

I suppose from one of the character book?

this is very curious, in th NT 12/98 it mention John made his appearance in book 8?(pg 185?) I though a very young John pop up in book 3 with Aisha? (pg 149)

also, according to reference, John join the Mirage right as #20 in 3030, (book 2, pg 151, Led Mirage #41) but of course Bradford is #21, and he supposely joined the mirage knight (shanghai is a better word I guess) after book #8, or 2992,

more on 'right leg of built', me think the old looking woman is actually the bride of the young knight, she was operated by the mad doctor to the point he can not recongize who she was.

Ping, as always, your posts make me think

Re Ssizz, I was inexact. I just meant her English in Traffics. Agree that the kanji is clear about her name.

Could you explain more about your analysis re Volume 9? This is intriguing. Particularly since she asks Rotte all those questions.

Great stuff! Please continue!

what analysis? (guessing is more approprate)

in pg 13, Mondo explain, (I think). that his wife to be, a 12 years old girl, (or is it decided when she was 12?) decide by his parent which he had never seen? was among the victims by the wizard (kidnapped and missing for experiment purpose.), and he remain optimistic that she is still alive.

in pg 19, she ask Mondo if he is looking for the guy who attack her? saying the lord of the castle like pretty girl like the pegaus knight, and if they are lovers, Mondo give some kind words (ogenki?) for her and she was touched.

in pg 25, she explains that when she was young she always think of the wedding day to the point she can't sleep everyday? that her body is the result of the operation by the wizard? that she stay alive so she can meet him one time? then she mention Mondo's name, (in sama no less), asking god to help him with exchange for her 'dirty life', etc. so she can RIP.

so what does this have to do with 'the right lef of built'? unless one of the 'fatimas' got destroyed was built, or came from a part of the right leg of built, it make absolutely no sense to include the flash back. not to mention the dragon and the weird animal (kirin) she had with her. who was the voice which talk to kirin so it won't revive her? (me think the dragon here.) or is kirin the dragon and the voice god? (joker?) or is god est and clotho as suggest by the sword?

me think I need to take a break and watch superbowl.
