Yes, I think that was his power also I think Peters mom is going to have somekind of electrical power and that is why the lights went heywire at the police station

Once again, people are presuming that children have the same power as their parent/s with power. No, what is passed along is the dna mutation to allow powers to happen. Each individual expresses that mutation in different ways, similar to how a parent with a musical talent may have a child with an artistic talent.

But the OP didn't mention inheriting the power. Since Peter is a mimic, it would be logical that his first powers would be obtained from someone he encounters regularly, such as a family member.

Because she was one of the people Peter knows who we know has a power but we don't definitely know which power. Their familial relationship has nothing to do with it. I for example assume he got the lightning bolt he used in Ireland from her, but not because he inherited it.

Okay, I misunderstood what he was getting at. Peter was around Charles Deveaux and maybe that's where he picked up the prophetic dreaming.
