I mean my tv was so dark I almost missed it, but when Peter is kissing that Fi wannabe irishbelle, his tatoo morphs into the Godsend Kanji, which seems alive - it wriggles a bit before it fades off his arm.

So... did he absorb Nikkis split personality?

Pete B! Very interesting. I just thought it faded as it healed, but I rewatched it very carefully and you're right, the symbol didn't fade out evenly. As parts of it faded, parts of it were emphasized to suggest the Godsend character. Not precisely, but with no ambiguity.

Makes me wonder if the show's creators want this whole business to resolve into a cosmic good-against-evil dichotomy. I hope not, that would be trite.

I thought that was the girls tattoo? Of course, barring unknown dark and sinister stuff, it does make more sense for him.

Naa, I think it reasonably makes sense for it to be her tattoo because she happens to have powers too...

Now way back in the start we saw that Nikki sometimes had the tatto other times not (I don't think we saw it fade out on her) - that's why i wondered if it means Peter has inherited something of hers.

I do wonder if the writers will be able to integrate the symbol in a way that makes sense in the end rather than 'duh'

No, but while he was getting the tattoo, I was saying it would disappear because of his healing ability and it did. The whole Godsend thing was just an interesting way of doing it IMO.

We've seen him expel bullets from his body. A tattoo is made by injecting a foreign body into your body. Just like a gun shooting bullets... just much smaller, and not quite as fast .

I complained about him getting a tattoo, too, when it happened.

But the ink wasn't expelled, it was absorbed.
