I actually thought the same thing. He raised her like he daughter just like Noah has with Claire.
It also reminded me a bit of the Giles/Buffy and Mayor/Faith dynamic we had in BtVS.

Except that Bob has powers. (Parents seem to pass powers to their kids - not necessarily the *same* powers - but powers nonetheless). Noah does not.

And in such a duncy way. I mean, did he bother to ask why the woman deserved to remain anonymous? Did he ask about the history and misdeeds of his father? Are we to presume that Adam and Claire are immune to this suggestive power? Remember Maury was described as merely a 'blunt instrument.'

I distinctly remember one of the characters (I thought it was Noah) putting their hands on the sides of someone's head, holding them for a minute, then ZAP, their abilities were gone. Permanently, I think. I've watched every episode since the beginning, so who was it?
