Hot Heels Draw Money
the vast majority of RSPW far prefers Heroes to current wrestling programs, and that's a 100% guarantee.

Re:Hot Heels Draw Money
Why are some people so incredibly concerned with crossposting?

If it weren't useful and wanted, it wouldn't be a feature of Usenet. Learn your history and stop imitating other complainers like a sheep. Crossposting is one of the things that makes Usenet great.

Why did Quincy Jones let Jacko and Macca improv their spoken parts in that song, anyway?

Re:Hot Heels Draw Money
Circular reasoning. The KKK used a similar 'argument' to justify banning Blacks from certain communities in the 1950s.

Grandparent post was explicitly relevant to both newsgroups, being a critique of the series 'Heroes' using a pro-wrestling analogy (and wrestling terminology).

If you don't like a thread, or a poster's style, or crossposts, the most effective solution is to configure YOUR newsreader's kill-file appropriately to bar such posts from appearing. Stamping your foot in public and crying will never stop anyone from crossposting or flaming.

It only is when it's relevant - crossposting to wrestling and heroes

Re:Hot Heels Draw Money
Wresting terminology does not make a post about Heroes relevant to a pro wresting newsgroup.

Well, if you want to continue to look like a troll, or an idiot, continue to post irrelevant posts to both newsgroups. Nobody is going to stop you. But you should also be prepared to continue to see people complain about it, because that's not going to stop either. If you're going to cross post, cross post something relevant to both groups, instead of assuming that because you use the terminology of one group to talk about the subject of the other, that makes it of interest to both groups.

Re:Hot Heels Draw Money
Because it's a tactic trolls use to start flame wars.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. It's there to use for things that are of interest to multiple groups. A post about Heroes, even one using a wresting anology, is NOT of interest to most of rec.sport.pro-wrestling.

The sad thing is, if the original post hadn't been cross posted, this discussion would probably be a lot more interesting, because the post itself would have gotten the attention instead of the fact that it was cross-posted to a group where it was irrelevant.
