Hello to all,
does anybody know where to find a manga site with mangas written in Hiragana (in relatively easy language would be the best) ? I am looking for such mangas that can be viewed and printed online in order to practice my japanese knowledge.
Greetings

Manga aimed at a younger audience (this may be true for manga in general, I'm not sure) tends to include 'furigana'. This is the reading of the kanji written in hiragana in a small font above the kanji characters. Hope this helps.

I usually have seen it in katakana, but you should know that as well... And it isn't all kids stuff. Stuff like Fushigi Yuugi has it too...

Have you READ it ? I've watched enough and read enough to think I have a fairly good understanding, or at least, and reasonably not completely uninformed, of what Japanese consider appropriate for children. If Fushigi is aimed at anyone lower than 13 or 14, I'd be very surprised. And if you told anyone that age they were a child, they'd hit you.

<snip long well written argument>
Right. My point was more that his argument was sounding like manga with furigana are all children's stuff, when if fact, even Rurouni Kenshin has them. Children may read FY, IIs and Kenshin, but teenagers are the target audience, and furigana are still provided.

A good place to clarify this would be 'Mangajin's Basic Japanese Through Comics - Part 1.' Chapter 7 is entitled 'Creative Kanji Readings.' And as the title of the book implies, it is really good for learning Japanese, too.

Er, shoujo is aimed at young girls, but this is generally the 12-to-16 year old range.
For younger children, the genre is 'kodomo'. Magazines such as Gorogoro are kodomo magazines
