Everybody but Nathan thinks Peter is dead, and Nathan has no contact with Molly. I'm not even sure he knows she exists.

Hey but nobody found his corpse !! it was only blood trace to the hole !! is like DL we saw him walking with his family away.. then they tell us he is dead ! how ?

We don't know yet. Wait for episode 8, 'Four Months Ago'. If things aren't explained before them...
