Dragonlady!
No. not due to a psychological trauma I know that amnesia such as Peter suffers is extraordinary and extremely uncommon. Amnesia is almost always limited to a small period of time or to a particular context and equally almost always due to a physical trauma.
Haitian-induced amnesia is different, of course.

Ah, but you're talking about *real* amnesia. Fictional amnesia is almost always total.
Not necessarily. The Haitian can either wipe out everything ala the guy who tried to rape Claire (an his village of origin in the graphic novels), or he can wipe out selected memories.
