From the previews it looks that he is back. Wasn't he suppose to die? can't remember how they killed him.

He was apparently killed, but then they showed a blood trail leading to a manhole. It looks like he made a getaway while the other's were distracted by the light show in the sky.

Michelle Steiner! Though they tried: Hiro impaled him on his sword (not the Takeo Kinsey sword, right?) and while the camera was lingering on the impending tragedy with Peter, Sylar apparently crawled into the sewer. When the camera returned, all we saw was a long and painful body-sized smear of blood, an man-hole with its cover mostly off and a big, nasty cockroach crawling out, a cockroach reminiscent of the one that crawled on Sylar when he was drugged and imprisoned by Bennet in the paper plant basement.
