Thoughts: Cautionary Tales (11/19/2007) - SPOILERS!!

1. Bob's name is Robert Bishop. He's the head of Primatech Paper, and Elle is his daughter Elle Bishop. My TV is not HD, and so I couldn't see the names in the wide shot behind Molly.

2. One of the best things about this series: it does the interactions between characters very well, especially the family relationships.

I wish, in a way, that Sandra had a larger role. She seems like she would be a fairly complex character: she seems like she's really batty, but at the same time, she seems smart and centered, a good contrast to the other characters. It's probably best that she simply remains more in the background.

3. And another minor reveal...West's last name: Rosen

4. Bob messed up. I thought for a minute, he did it deliberately, but it was obvious that he slipped.

5. HRG just has a nasty talent for turning events to his advantage. Not to mention all the ways he knows to handle the mutants. 'Stings like a bitch, doesn't it?'

6. So, West is a good guy, after all. With some sense of moral right.

7. So, now who do we believe: HRG, Bob, or Adam? I tend to believe HRG. And that explains why Elle is the way she is.

8. And we learn that Hiro's mother, Ishy has been dead 17 years. And present Hiro teaches his young self about honoring his father, and learns to do so himself.

9. And Adam is the murderer, after all.

10. This episode has had an incredible series of intense scenes.

11. I can't believe they actually killed him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is freaking amazing. I imagine the entire heroes fanbase just screamed 'No!' at the same time.

But...Bob has Claire's blood and HRG's body - and regenerative blood heals. Can it bring people back from the dead?

12. Mohinder just crossed a line that he can't come back across.

13. Another reveal: Joanna Cassidy is playing Victoria Pratt

14. Yep! Claire's blood saves HRG's life...'Holy!', indeed.

Finally, an episode that lived up to my expectations.

They show it again later, ummm I'll see if I can find the screen shot.

I agree, it felt more like the last season and much more intense, it was the first episode for me this season leaving me wanting more....

That made me laugh and I wanted to yell out, yeah!

I never really thought he was a bad guy, so it didn't suprise me.

I have never believed Bob was good, though I'm not sure why he'd save HRG, maybe to use him as a guinea pig?

I was freaking shocked! Then I thought, naw they'll give him Claires blood.

I was shocked that Mohinder ended up being the shooter anyway. I'll be watching him a little more closer, he can't fight worth a damn though, his nose but majorly messed up now.

Agreed, it felt a little more like last season and left me wanting more and a bit disappointed that it was over. I actually am looking forward to next week.

When he called Claire 'Bennett' instead of 'Butler'.

Definitely a good ep!

Great review and fabulous episode. Besides the fact that it was full of surprises and explanations I didn't have to see the stupid twins. Yea! This is one I will watch again.

I saw that and went 'Where've I heard that name before?'

Still - this was the best episode since the Future one from Season 1. OUTSTANDING episode.

Hiro's final speech was powerful.

Maybe Bob and HRG. I think Adam is insane.

Interesting twist on timetravel; he met himself and didn't destroy the universe.

It's interesting how Hiro chose NOT to play God. Any family would do so if they had the chance to keep their family member alive.

I have several questions.

How is it that they could get a full pint of Claire's blood without her blood coagulating and wound healing almost right away?

Where was the Haitian? If the Haitian was there, Elle's abilities would be surpressed?

Why didn't Elle just zap everyone when she had the chance EARLIR by the beach before Bob handed over Claire? Elke clearly got out of the tape or whatever had her hands tied up.

Did Suresh really intend to kill HRG and only later find out that Bob had Claire's blood? Or did he already know they were going to kill and save him? How did Suresh become such a marksman?

In the following week's preview, did I see Claire's eyes get all dark when she was crying?
