Or maybe someone can think of another possible power to explain it.

Or killer never left the roof, but only made witnesses think they saw two people fall.

Or he had the power of super-bouncing....

If the killer went have Ma Petrelli, and it appeared to have no one there. How do we know that the killer is doing a physical manifestation that is tangible? It is possible, if you consider the entity worse than the Boogieman sees Molly, it is possible the killer is able to do remote ethereal manifestations to do killing. This would then explain Sylar and a bunch of other things.

The entity in killing Hiro's father made an image appear so that Hiro's father would know who it was.

If this is true, the the enemy faced this season is VERY dangerous, but appears only to be motivated by revenge against limited targets.

My guess? The Flying Politician

Narrows it down to: Peter, Clair, Nathan, West, Hiro, Kensei, or one of the thousands of other evolved humans we've never met. Specifically including the six living members of the former Linderman Group that have not yet been seen on-screen; both Angela and Kaito both seemed pretty sure their killer was among that group and was planning to kill the remaining members off.

Do you remember when Peter found Claude?... Claude said to him oh you are one of them... so there must be more empathic 'heroes' nerby..

Or 'one of them' referring to him as one of the people with powers, not necessarily empathy.
